General Instructions:
For this assignment, you are required to view the video “The Danger of a Single Story” by Chimamanda
Ngozi Adichie. After watching this video, you are required to meet with your group, and together discuss
and identify a culture that has oftentimes been defined by a single story. If you are unsure if the culture
the group has agreed on is appropriate to this assignment, please feel free to ask your professor for
guidance.
Your tasks in this assignment are as follows:

  1. Watch the video individually or as a group.
  2. Meet with your group to discuss the video and to discuss the culture you will write about, as
well as the details of the written segment of the assignment.
  3. Write and submit your individual assignments through Safe Assign on Blackboard by the due
date (see critical path for the due date)
  4. Individually fill out and submit the task/assignment agreement and peer evaluation sheet for
group participation. The task/agreement document should be individually filled out and
submitted as soon as your first meeting is held. The group evaluation sheet should be
submitted at the time when you are submitting your paper. Please note that a student who
does not submit a group evaluation sheet forfeits the group mark. You need to submit this
sheet to get a group mark.
    Group Meetings:
Groups may meet using any format they wish. Blackboard Collaborate is available to all students,
however, if groups wish to use Skype or Zoom or any other such platform, please feel free to do so. In
the group meetings, you will discuss the main points of Chimamanda’s single story and chose a culture

    Peer Evaluation Sheet:
A group evaluation sheet has been provided. This is a private document which students will submit
individually to the professor. Each member of the group uses this sheet to evaluate the contributions of
other group members to the group process. Each member of the group must submit their own group
evaluation sheet. The student filling out the sheet should place their name at the top of the sheet
(where you see “Your Name ”). Each block below has a space for the names of the other members of
the group. You will grade each member of the group out of 5 for each of the assigned areas. Each
