1. Vygotsky theorized that inner speech (to oneself) and outer speech (others talking to you and you talking to others) are connected in a number of ways. One of those ways concerns what generates what. Does inner speech generate external speech or does external speech generate internal speech? Give some specific examples to back up your statements.
2. Does it matter which one comes first and which once might come second? Why or why not?
