Choose one female character from each text and compare how each character influences the plot or the actions of other characters in each story. What motivations do they have for intervening or becoming involved in different situations? In what ways do these characters change as a result of their actions throughout the course of the story? What drives that change, and is the change positive or negative for that character? Is it positive or negative for other characters in the story?
