Write a 2000-word essay on one (1) of the following topics:
Essay Topic 1. Explain how community or independent TV or Radio stations have maintained their audience against an increasingly competitive commercial media sector.
Essay topic 2. How have broadcast consumption practices changed in the past decade? Have streaming technologies affected the relationship between audiences and the programs they watch (or listen to)?
Essay topic 3. How do formats like the sitcom, reality TV, breakfast radio teams, drama or comedy (choose one of these) perpetuate consumer and/or celebrity cultures?
Essay topic 4. How have changes to the broadcast industry altered the visibility of ‘ethnic’ or indigenous radio or TV in Australian society? Choose an example to illustrate.
