Sресіаl attentіon has been given to Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia in the Australian Curriculum. As a cross-curriculum priority, it is embedded in all learning areas. In 2006, all Australian States and Territories approved “The National Statement for Engaging Young Australians with Asia in Australian School”. Task: Create an action plan for a week where the focus will be on Asian content in Australian Curriculum across learning areas. As a teacher, you have been asked by your principal to plan a one week program to integrate Asian studies (understanding of Asian societies) into your school’s curriculum. Develop an Action Plan for a week focusing on Asian culture. Include how you would go about planning this in your school.
