Order Description

1. Select three public health problems (one for pediatrics or adolescents, one for middle aged adults, and one for geriatrics) that effect the US population.
2. Include information from at least one professional journal for each of the three life span problems. The reference should deal with screening and discuss the tool used for the health problem. CINAHL with full text and Ovid have many references, including community and public health journals. For each problem select at least one screening tool and discuss it using all the key terms on p. 486 of your text. An example may be PSA levels or mammography, to include a discussion on sensitivity, specificity and false positives or misses. Consider the financial time burden of the screening tools. What about the psychological stress of a tool with a high degree of false positives (low specificity)?
