One way to learn history is to place yourself in different historical eras and make observations on the notable events of each time period. In this course, you will experience World History through your eyes and ears. As we move through the course, you will research and write about your experiences in the selected periods of World History covered in this course. To accomplish this task, you may want to consider yourself as a journalist or newspaper reporter.

Directions: Create a 1 to 2-page news story for each of the related topics below.

The development of the first modern humans during the Stone Age.
Observe a member of a ruling group and describe the temples, Royal Palaces and society’s distinctions during the development of Egyptian civilization or that of Mesopotamia.
Investigate a Shang king – the key elements of the Shang state and the techniques used to sustain his dynasty.
Undercover as an administrator during the realm of the Persian king, Darius.
