The request of case is:A proposed Corporate Code of Conduct is the final project. The objectives of the Code of Conduct assignment are to identify the ethical risks to which a company is subject and to develop a management strategy and program to manage those risks. The corporate code of conduct should be proposed by the student and is subject to the approval of the professor. The focus/ topic of the code of conduct should be a current/emergent ethical dilemma, which is still on-going. There are two formats for the Code of Conduct assignment.
1.) A code of conduct may be obtained from a real-world company, then a fact-based critique made of the company’s conduct going to whether the company lives up to its code of conduct. Recommendations should be developed to ensure that the corporate culture supports the corporation’s code of conduct and to ensure that the specific failures are corrected. (GAP Analysis)
2.) Take the role of the Corporate Ethics Officer for a company subject to the professor’s approval. Develop a corporate ethics program for the company. You must raise and address the ethical failures and risks to which the company is subject, and develop a program to manage those risks and to correct those ethics failures which have occurred.
Although there are two formats, the objectives of the code of conduct assignment are the same: to identify ethical risks and failures, and to manage the risks and to correct the failures and prevent them for the future.
