Psychological assessment is a common and important element of effective talent management programs (see lecture slides on assessment). The assessment field is witnessing considerable innovation
because of rapid developments in technology for presenting psychological assessments, such as ‘serious games’ and ‘gamification’, and analysis of social media profiles (linked-in and twitter) using
natural language processing. Your task is to conduct an industry review of the assessment technology being used by small to medium sized enterprises to assess personality traits important to
leadership and talent management practitioners. The format of your response is a report of no more than 2000 words. Your report should

a) identify key and emerging companies in the space, the technology they use for assessent, and what they claim to assess,

b) evaluate the evidence they show for reliability and validity, using the criteria we have discussed in lectures on assessment design for SJTs, and

c) finish with a clear conclusion stating your perspective of the usefulness of these new technologies for assessment in talent management.

You should aim to speak to at least 3 industry professionals (i.e. not rely only on internet searches).
