Inclusion is the family reunion of education. It may sound strange but a family consists of acceptance of differentiation. If I talk about family, when we look at our families, we realize that every person is different in almost every aspect and we love them all and hope for their betterment. It’s also like our classroom, in which child has to be taught and each makes up the class. Every student adds to inclusion though they are completely different. In my toddler’s classroom, we used ASQ which helped us to determine the individual need of the students through our creative curriculum guide. The Pediatrics Academy states that children need early screenings. However, the child’s diagnosis may not be complete until the age of four.

In the Head Start setting monitoring the students is very important as well as making sure that the lesson plans do not single the child out. All of them can have their individual plans but there are different methods that have to be used to make sure that each child gains understanding.  My students may not show that sign of knowing inclusion and differentiation amongst their peers unlike those in a three to five-year classroom may.
