The Board of your HOR organisation (Community Health Board, Hospital Board,…) or your current work organisation has asked for your advice on how to change the organisation’s culture to ensure a greater focus on quality and safety. Depending on your organisation type it may be quality of care, service quality, or patient safety, staff safety, or a risk management approach that is most appropriate. How would you approach this assignment? What factors work against changing an organisation’s culture? In relation to your assigned organisational group, under what conditions is cultural change most likely to be accepted and established?
