You are required to produce an essay that critically analyses the history of film from 1890’s to present day by;

1. Critically analysing the history of film and the development of your CHOSEN FILM GENRE.

2. Critically analysing the external influences that affect the film content and the character portrayal within your CHOSEN GENRE, for example; social, political and cultural issues.

3. Critically appraising and interpreting key design components and their contribution to the film production within your chosen genre, ( Mise-en-scene).
