You are required to complete this project as a business report.

You have recently been appointed as operations manager for the “Nickle & Dime Resort” based in Lavender Bay in Sydney.

The group CEO has informed you that he is concerned about the organisation’s environmentally sustainable work practices.

He has asked you to create a workplace environmental sustainability committee, provide a sustainable renewable energy proposal for the resort, develop a strategy to ensure that the organisation’s environmentally sustainable work practices are documented covering the following areas

 

Water

Energy-Gas & Electricity

Wastage-Recycling

Purchasing policy

Background information on Nickle and Dime Resort:

Lavender Bay property present 10 acres of beach water front and botanical garden in Sydney.

500 room Hotel rooms

The Hotel was built 10 years ago

100 staff employed across all departments

Capital expenditure required : Hotel rooms :Television, Air conditioning units.

Resort Departments:

FRONT OFFICE – ADMINISTRATION

Environmental sustainability committee, should be made up of the manager and two team members from each department.

Your task is to implement a strategy & policy that covers the following stages:

 

Stage 1 Planning and Organising

Stage 2 Environmental Review

What are the current impacts in each department in the resort?

Stage 3 Generating Options

What are our options/actions for improvement, these need to document each department in the resort?

Stage 4 Implementing the Plan

How do we make changes happen?

How will you ensure the timelines are met and improvement actions are been taken?
