Setting: (100-150 words)
• When in history do the events of the story take place?
• What time of year?
• How long is the time span within the novel?
• Where in the world is the story set?
• Is the setting important? Could it take place anywhere,
anytime?
• What sort of a narrative is it? (descriptive, neutral, 1st
person) Is this an effective narrative?

• Describe the protagonist of the novel. (or one
of them if there is more than one)
– What are they like as characters?
– What do they do in the story that make you like
them?
– Do they do anything that makes you dislike them?
What?

• Interview one of the minor characters of the
story.
• Write it out like an interview

• Write about 300-400 words about the novel.
• Give your own opinions but please try and
cite some examples to illustrate your point.
