PPAARE Question and four Sources of Evidence
Instructions:-
Write a PPAARE question and locate three or four sources of evidence. Select the highest-level, most relevant article that addresses the question to critique. You will also incorporate your evidence in your patient education material in Part 2. 2. Write a critical analysis of the article you chose using the appropriate form based on the type of article: (a) Table 11-3 for a quantitative research report; (b) Table 11-6 for a qualitative research report; or, (c) the PRISMA checklist for a systematic review or meta-analysis. An example of a critical analysis of a quantitative study using Table 11-3 is located on pages 345-351. An example of a critical analysis of a qualitative study is located on pages 353-357.

Purpose: To apply the best available current evidence to design a patient education material for a patient group and condition of interest.
There are two major components to this assignment: (1) Critique of an Article; and, (2) Patient Education Material.
Part I
– Select the highest level of current evidence available and relevant to a community and problem you select.
1. Write a PPAARE question and locate three or four sources of evidence. Select the highest-level, most relevant article that addresses the question to critique. You will also incorporate your evidence in your patient education material in Part 2.
2. Write a critical analysis of the article you chose using the appropriate form based on the type of article: (a) Table 11-3 for a quantitative research report; (b) Table 11-6 for a qualitative research report; or, (c) the PRISMA checklist for a systematic review or meta-analysis. How relevant is the article that you found to your PPAARE question? In other words, how does the evidence in the article answer your question or not? Provide a substantive response that incorporates knowledge from the course. Type your critical analysis into one of the three templates provided. Upload the completed template and a PDF file of the research report on which you completed the critical analysis.

Part 2 –
1. Write four objectives for the patient education material; at least one of the objectives must be an affective objective.
2. Design a patient education material based on the criteria listed on the rubric.
