In recent years the military has seen an influx of women enlisting in the armed services. Along with this increasing number comes medical concerns that were not an issue prior to. Being employed by the armed forces does not change the concerns. Women continue to fight for equal rights, equal pay and personalized medical treatment. This is an expense that was not on the table for discussion prior to women enlisting in 1948.
Specialized medical attention for women in the service is of paramount concern. The increased number of women enlisting; shows a great need for access to healthcare.
