The movie is a documentary video about the battle of Black Americans of their identity, right, freedom, and security. It’s the fight that had opened thousands or millions of black peoples’ eyes to love and to fight for themselves and for their family. Due to this miserable treatment of the US, it gives rise to a bolder and stronger new generation of the once diminished kind.
We can understand in the movie the reason why Black People used guns in order to protect themselves. That is why the Black Panther Party was founded by Huey in 1966 was created. This is for some reason: they can’t take it anymore, America treated them like a robot and a zombie with no name, language and culture, they were taught to hate themselves and believe that white people are always right and they have taken their chance to live because they are black. So when they killed Dr. King in 1968, it seems like they declared war on the black people. Guns are allowed in California, but if a black carry an arm, police are treating them like a walking bomb in which in any minute will create chaos.
This inequality is transparent even for people living outside the US. Like Merill Pannitt, an editor of TV Guide Magazine from Philadelphia wrote his criticism about American exploitations and maltreatment of the black.
It is interesting how Black Americans uses their diligence and brains to help with the organization. They have female teachers to educate the young. They are making a revolution by educating the people of what is going on, and that they should arm themselves to protect their family and their kind. They also have Angela Yvonne Davis, who has used her intelligence to continue the fight, despite the fact that many of the Party’s leaders got killed and exiled. The way also they used music to speak out their thoughts and complaints of the situation, and the way they have used the stage through speech choir to voice out and to tell everyone that black must unite to fight the oppression.
There is always a reason why a certain situation is happening and we can’t blame the Black People for fighting what they believe is a treat to their identity, right, freedom, and security. All of us has our own way of fighting. Some Black Americans use music, others use books, others use their mouths, and others use guns.
