I’m studying for my Psychology class and need an explanation.

Topic:
which types of therapy are most effective when working with the LGBTQ+ population and exploring the research behind and why the techniques are effective would be a very interesting topic.

Guidelines :

– 9 to 12 pages (including title page, abstract page, and references) 

– One-inch margins, 11 or 12 pt font 

– In American Psychological Association (APA) style. 6th edition acceptable; 7th edition preferred 

– A minimum of 8 references that you find on your own (both in-text references and reference-list entries) o The textbook can be cited but does not count as one of the 8

grading : 

– History of the topic 20% 

– Explanation of Basic definitions of Terms 20% 

– Scientific studies 20% 

– Other content (based on paper topic) 10% 

– Clarity and organization 20% 

– APA style (body of paper &references) 10%

Lastly:

– Once the assignment is done, write a quick presentation based on the paper; presenting the following informaton:

– The topic of your presentation 

– Why you believe the topic is important 

– The relationship between your chosen topic and the course readings / lectures 

– 3 interesting pieces of information that you learned and discussed in your paper
