I’m stuck on a Social Science question and need an explanation.
Post an analysis of how you envision applying the new knowledge and skills related to research and evaluation that you have learned in SOCW 6311 to your future career. Identify specific knowledge and strategies which may be most applicable to achieving your future goals and how you intend to apply them by answering the following questions:
1.Based on your current work or field placement, in what ways are you now able to apply research skills and knowledge to enhance the services you deliver, whether or not you are permitted to do so?
2.Describe how you intend to use research in your future career. Remember that researching appropriate interventions or other aspects of your work is a requirement according to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers, so you can’t say that you don’t intend to ever use it! (2-3 sentences)
3.What knowledge and methods presented in this course do you think will be most useful? Have you used any already? If not, why not? (You may not be able to, given the constraints of your job or placement, but if you had been allowed to apply your research skills, what would you have explored and what skills would you have used?) Provide your rationale. (3-4 sentences)
4.In your ideal job (tell us what it is!), how would you use your research skills to aid or advocate for clients?
5.Look back on your work in Weeks 1-3 and your recent work. Notice the difference. What do you see? Describe two important facts or areas of knowledge you have learned and two skills you have acquired in this class, and state what you found most challenging. You may send this portion to me by email ([email protected]) if you prefer not to post your responses to this paragraph on the discussion board.
