Course Outcome Covered: Use relevant technology to complete sociological projects, research and assignments that focus on trends related to collective human behavior.

To accurately disseminate research finding that are back by evidence involves following the 7 steps of the scientific method. Each step must be followed in order to ensure all bases are covered and to eliminate personal bias in the discovery process. For this section, we have discussed scientific methods to determine correlation and causation.

For this assignment, your task is to write a 4-5 page research paper on a topic of your choice. You are to present a problem and provide recommendations to address the problem. Consider the following points in your discussion:

• What is the problem you are looking to address? Your problem most be a sociological issue such as, heath disparities, health outcomes, etc.
• What are causal linkages that combine to create the problem?
• Clearly detail the 7 steps of the scientific method to address your problem. (This does not need to be spelled out, you can summarize the scientific approach in your paper)
• Identify any challenges associated with addressing this problem and provide recommendation for treatment
