OBJECTIVES
1. To become familiar with features provided by a computer-based circuit
analysis program.
2. Use the principle of superposition to investigate a resistor network.

BACKGROUND
Read section 4.3 on Superposition in the text, Fundamentals of Electric Circuits by
Alexander and Sadiku. If using All About Circuits (online text) see the section
“Superposition Theorem” in Chapter 10.

PROCEDURE
1. Theoretically show that the input-output relationship of the R-2R ladder circuit of
Figure 3.1 is Vo = V1 / 8 + V2 / 4 + V3 / 2 using superposition.
2. Run LTspice analysis on the circuit shown in Figure 3.1. Fill in the data in Table
3.1.

operation of this circuit.

2.  SELF-CHANGE PROJECT

The purpose of this assignment is to solidify skills associated with developing a behavior management plan. Concepts discussed in class will be used in the development of a plan that centers on a particular behavior in which you wish to engage. You will be researching your health behavior topic, the health impacts of that behavior, as well as steps to take to change that behavior and also adhere to (stick-to) the health behavior change. It is recommended that you select a behavior for which you are in a preparation stage of readiness to change (i.e., ready to change soon, have tried in the past and was unable to sustain change, need a “boost” to get going in the change processes, etc.). You are to create a behavior management plan, complete with a behavior management contract, and implement the plan over 3 weeks (it has been suggested, although not necessarily proven, that it takes 28 days to create a habit, so this will put you on your way). The purpose of this assignment is to apply sound behavior change planning skills as you start on a 21-day journey.
