Write a clear, well-organized response to each of the following prompts. Your responses should balance personal reflection with information from the lesson materials and required readings.
Each response should be a minimum of 300 words long. Your answer must reference the lesson content. Include APA in-text citations and reference list.
- Using self-knowledge, describe yourself and explain why you used those descriptors. Does your public image align with your self-concept? Explain.
- Describe at least two social roles that you adopted for yourself. Explain how they impact your identity and membership within your culture or organization. Are there roles you adopted but do not like? If so, do you try to resist, exert your agent self? Explain.
- Write about a time when you were part of a group (at school, work, a cultural or community group, or any other such organization) and tasked to complete an assignment or project. How did the group find ways to cooperate? Where there any tensions, if so what? What cultural influences discussed in the lesson may or may not have contributed to the outcomes of the project?
