After listening to sociologist Lewis Mumford, answer the following questions:
- What does Mumford say about cities declining? Do you agree or disagree with him and why?
- Do you see any similarities between what Mumford was saying and what many are saying today?
- Mumford says the city is disappearing but what does Mumford say could take the place of people meeting and meeting face to face?
- Based on the audio presentation, what do you think Mumford would say about social media that is pronounced in our society today? What do you think he would say about the automobile today and why?
