I’m working on a psychology project and need guidance to help me learn.

The purposes of this project are for you to learn about a topic of your choosing related to the course,
identify a problem related to the topic, generate a solution to the problem, implement the solution (if
possible), assess the effectiveness of the solution (whether or not the solution is carried out), and
describe the project in the form of a paper (5 pages in length).

 Introduction that is fully developed with thesis statement.
o For your introduction, make sure your introduction sentence is clear. Consider using
attention grabbers like: a surprising fact, a thought-provoking question, an attentiongetting quote, a brief anecdote that illustrates a larger concept, or a connection
between your topic and your readers’ experiences, Tie in with your background
information. Then end the introduction with your thesis. Should be 3 to 5 sentences for
introduction sentence, background information, and ending thesis statement.

 Body with fully developed paragraphs on topic ideas body paragraphs, each should begin with the topic sentence. The topic sentence
must be a sentence, not a question, that is your own idea and in your own words. After
the topic sentence, make a statement that supports your topic sentence and leads into
an example, a quote or paraphrase. Present your quote or paraphrase. After you have
given support, spend a sentence or two explaining how the example(s) support the topic
sentence. Make sure to end each body paragraph with a concluding statement, again
in your own words. Appropriately cite sources within the body of your paper.
