Select an organization or industry you are familiar with.*
Define at least 10 local and/or national legal compensation and benefit requirements for that organization.
You will need to review the legal requirements for the state that the organization has their primary operations and also review the national legal requirements the organization needs to abide by. Create a 10 page PowerPoint presentation that:
a) Provides a brief overview of the organization including, but not limited to the name, number of employees, state where the primary (home) office is located and what other states the organization has employees. (5 points)
b) Detailed overview of 10 legally required compensation and benefits that must be provided to employees in the primary (home) office. Ensure that you have one or two slides per benefit including and a brief (2 – 3 sentence) definition of the benefit listed in the “notes” section of the presentation. (1.5 points for each legal requirement – total of 15 points).
Writing and presentation format (4 points total):
a) Must not have any spelling or grammar errors (1 point).
b) Last slide must list sources. Must use at least 5 external sources with one being SHRM. The sources need to be formatted using APA style (3 points).
