The Patchwork Project assignment is geared towards illustrating your progress as a writer, reader, and critical thinker in this class as well as your own personal process in your learning development. Think of the Patchwork as a metaphorical quilt made up of the many pieces (or patches) of your learning experiences in this class, sewn together by you with the resulting “quilt” being your completed Patchwork Project.The Patchwork Project should tell your story and illustrate your journey in this class. Your Patchwork Project should include: a short introduction (1-2 pages typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt font) highlighting the beginning, middle and end of your learning experiences in this class. For example, it should show where you were at when you entered the class, how you have learned and grown, and lastly your progress as you end the class and how you will build on the information and learning you’ve acquired in this class for your future (whether in future classes or your career or personal emotional/intellectual/spiritual/creative growth and development). Please be sure to describe the readings, discussions, and assignments that you really enjoyed as well as ones that really resonated with you and why. at least 2 creative reflections of your choice, that are your original works OR collected works, related to the class readings/assignments/discussions. This can be a visual creation (photograph, art, image, design, etc.) AND/OR a song, video clip, blog entry, an article, podcast, radio show etc. AND/OR a creative work of writing that you composed or collected that is related to the class readings/assignments/discussions.
