The human civilisation has advanced during the past few millenniums on the basis of inventions as well as political stability. I think both scientists and politicians have made equal contributions to the march of civilisation since the earlier creates new products for humanity and the latter provides a congenial atmosphere for inventions and their commercial implementation.

Body Paragraph 1: (Explain the earlier – scientists) 

The scientists have made phenomenal contributions to the world. From the invention of the wheel and agriculture in 1000 B.C to modern computers in the 21st century, scientists have made human life convenient. For instance, before the invention of the Green Revolution in the 1960s, humans had limited capacity to produce food and were reliant on erratic rainfall. However, the introduction of high yielding varieties of crops as well as modern methods of irrigation under this revolution improved agricultural productivity tremendously.

Body Paragraph 2: (Explain the latter – politicians)

However, politicians have made equal contributions to humanity’s progress. Every innovation requires a supporting political and commercial atmosphere. This atmosphere is available in the form of institutions that provide funds for innovation and its implementation along with social acceptability. For example, the Green Revolution could not have been possible without financial support from politicians from various countries of the world. Indian politicians with the support of the United States government not only economically supported the introduction of high yielding varieties but also socially made farmers aware of the benefits of this innovation.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, human progress depends on both scientists and politicians. While scientists need politicians to provide fertile atmosphere for implementing innovations, politicians need scientists for creating exciting and useful products.
