Answer:

The bar chart illustrates the number of hours of work done per week in seven different categories (hours of work done = categories) by percentage number of people in full time and part time job sectors in the United Kingdom in the year 2001.

Overall, the largest number proportion/ percentage of people worked for 10-19 hours and they belonged to the part time job category. On the other hand, the least number percentage of people worked for more than 60 hours in the part time group. (Please see part-time and full-time as separate categories and mention overall for each of them separately. Overall, in part-time jobs, the largest percentage of people worked for 10 to 19 hours and the least worked for 60 or more hours. In full-time jobs, the ………………)

People working part time in the United Kingdom, worked mostly for 10-19 hours. They formed 24 percent of the total numbers in the category. (Both sentences convey the same idea. It is better to write them as one: Among part time workers, 24 percent worked for 10 to 19 hours.) This is closely followed by people who devoted up to 10 hours to their employment, constituting 22 percent of the total number of employees (nowhere the question mentions EMPLOYEES. Perhaps they’re part-time businesspersons. This is closely followed by 22 percent of people who work for less than 10 hours.). In comparison to this, only 4 percent of the total number of employees people worked for 60 hours or more and just 9 percent worked for 50-59 hours. (About 10 percent of employees are engaged for 30 to 39, 40 to 49 and 50 to 59 hours EACH.)

While 23 percent of employees in full time jobs worked for 40-49 hours in a week, only 5 percent worked for 10 hours or less. People working for 30-39 hours, 20-29 hours and 50-59 hours constituted 21, 16 and 15 percent of the total workers respectively.

(In full-time employment, as the number of hours increase from upto 10 hours to 40-49 hours, the percentage of people increase. Thereafter, the percentage falls from 23 percent to 13 percent.)

Please mention important TRENDS as written in the BLUE brackets above.
