Assignment Expectations For this argumentative research paper, explore topics that represent you and your life – either your academic interests or your personal interests. In this paper, you should argue for or against your approved topic. You must support your argument with scholarly evidence. Learning Outcomes Write a 1000-1300 word research paper using appropriate source material to cohesively inform an audience about a complex topic, avoiding errors in grammar, syntax, and style. Learn how to cite sources correctly in your paper and in a MLA bibliography that includes a minimum of 3 scholarly citations. Increase your awareness of Loyola University Library and Writing Center resources. Learn how to view and accept assignment feedback from instructor and peers. Create a 5-7 minute presentation that will be presented on the last day of class. Both the paper and presentation would be great additions to your required SCPS professional portfolio required for graduation. Instructions, Format, and Requirements The research paper assignments will overlap other assignments during the course of the semester.
