board moderation
Time limit: 10 minutes (+/- 10%)
Weighting: 30%
Due date: See schedule; ᴀ밄rst presentation due 9am AEST Monday 15 August 2016 (beginning Week
6)
Assessment overview
For this assessment, you will be allocated to a team (4 students) and assigned one of the weekly topics.
Your team will choose one speciᴀ밄c area from your assigned topic to research and you will present your
ᴀ밄ndings as a digital presentation using Prezi.
For example, if your team is assigned Week 6: Contingency and situational leadership, you might like to
focus on contingency theory, or the situational leadership model, and how it is similar or diᴀ洅erent to one
or more of the other theories or models of leadership explored in the week.
The aim of the presentation is to share your research ᴀ밄ndings and generate and engage in discussion of
the weekly topic with other members of the Learning group. By generating and engaging your Learning
group in discussion, you are developing your communication skills and commentary of various issues
surrounding leadership in context.
Assessment details
Your team’s presentation is a visual source of information and summary of the work that you have done
during the research process, referring to, and extending on, a case of leadership in context from a
current issue in the media, your eText, or presented in the Learning materials of the unit, relevant to the
week of study. The purpose of your presentation is to convey your main points and key ᴀ밄ndings to other
students in your Learning group and to then generate and engage in discussion on the topic with your
Learning group.
You will be marked on how you work together as a team, with team cohesion underpinning all
assessment criteria. Choose an online space to collaborate where you can chat, upload links and ᴀ밄les for
sharing and work together to complete the presentation (e.g. the unit wiki, a Google Doc, or other). Invite
your eLA to your online discussions.
