Please note in this essay, you are to demonstrate your understanding of managing an organisation in a global environment. Please do not just define or describe cultural intelligence, although you will need to do that. You can of course also argue some other variation on the proposition, for example, that cultural intelligence is only important to some businesses in some contexts. Whatever position you take remember, you must provide evidence (from the theory and other forms of expert opinion combined with your logic) to support your case. Argue your case.
Format for the assignment You are required to answer this question using a short essay format. This means each essay will need to have an introduction, a body and conclusion. As a guide, the introduction and conclusion should be no more than 100 words each. Each essay should have an overall theme, which should be stated as the opening one or two sentences of your essay. The remainder of your introduction should outline the structure of your essay. The conclusion should have the same basic structure as the introduction and end with a strong concluding sentence or two. The body of each essay should be divided into paragraphs that each contain one main point each that supports the overall theme of your essay.
Each essay can have an Appendix in which you place supplementary information, although this is not necessary. Make sure you include all essential information in your essay if you do use an Appendix. Reference any materials you cite in the Appendix.
Each essay will have its own List of References. In order to attempt to obtain full marks for references, you need to have at least 4 different references in your reference list for each essay. These references should be published from 2000 to the present and be drawn from sources other than the modules, textbook and selected readings from the course. You can re-use any of the 3 sources (published 2000 – present) in both essays for this Assignment, provided these sources add value. You can include any number of additional sources published before 2000 in your List of References for these essays. The reference list for each essay should commence on a new page after the conclusion of your essay.
