Some tips on report–writing
Make sure your report includes the following sections:
1. Title page, author, date
2. Table of contents
3. Introduction/terms of reference
4. Executive summary
5. Discussion section (detailed analysis, key claims , supporting data and evidence)
6. Key recommendations (if relevant)
7. Conclusion
8. Reference list.
Remember also:
• Use credible sources
• Use quotes and evidence to substantiate your claims
• Reference all sources (use in-text)
• Stick to the brief – don’t move beyond it
• Remember to both describe and analyse (this includes identifying, contexts, players, interests and weighing and evaluating outcomes).
