The movie is called “split”

Spilt is a psychological horror movie released in two thousand seventeen. Using the information I’ve learned these last seven weeks, I decided to watch and analyze the movie. In this movie I observed a number of psychological theories and principles. The first thing that I became aware of was the main character, Kevin Crumb, suffered from dissociative identity disorder. Kevin is known to have at least twenty-three different personalities, who fight over sharing ownership charge of Kevin’s body, which they happen to call “The Light”. As the movie progressed I was introduced to Kevin’s four main personalities; Barry, Hedwig, Patricia, and Dennis. I released then that each personality each had their own personality disorder as well. Finally, we learn the reason for Kevin’s disorder was due to the abuse he experienced from his mother as a child. This abuse took place during concrete operational stage of his child hood caused him to create each different personality for himself. It also helped to shape the ways of his behavior patterns from adolescence to adulthood. Dissociative identity disorder cause by a traumatic abuse during childhood time frame of a person’s life commonly co-occurs with personality disorders and is known to worsen over time, but with treatment can be overcame. The movie begins with three teenage girls being abducted by Kevin. He stored them in anunderground room with two beds and a functional bathroom. During their captivity, the girls witnessed something strange in their captor, he was not a normal. He seemed to be talking to himself and made frequent changes to his wardrobe. The first personality introduced to them, Dennis, was the man that abducted them. He was cold, calculating and at first glance, only seemed interested in two of the three girls. Dennis methodically choose one of the girls to ‘dance’ with.
