Order Description
Essay is 1600 words.
Globalization
The nature and meaning of globalization and whether indeed it represents a qualitative difference from industrial society has spurred important theoretical debates.
Have our lives and our experience and understanding changed so much in the past 50 years? Is global capitalism today so very different from what it was in the 19th century or is the underlying logic the same? What does it mean to say we are living in a globalized world and does that apply to everyone everywhere equally? How useful are globalization theories in making sense of complex contemporary society?
Discuss across a range of theorists, comparing and contrasting their work around a common theme.
