From the analysis and interpretation of this assessment, it reads that I have a low concern for the individual needs of people
and the concern for task. I don’t feel this is an accurate assessment of how I really feel towards groups in the workforce. I think
the bottom line is getting the job done and being efficient, and people need to confirm to the needs of the business in order to
get that done for the majority. Working as an employee of a telecom company I know this first hand. You may have an opinion or

caring and as much of a people person as I thought I was. Being with my current company for three years, I can see from this
test what an effect they’ve had on me in regards to my leadership style. I feel it has caused me to replace a lot of my humanistic
side with the business needs and its priorities. I often have to look over my own feelings in order to do what’s best for the

company in the long run. I think this was learning because it was objective and gave a nonbiased
view/snapshot of what type
of leader you would be. I think these tests as well as personality assessments help you to determine if a particular job is right for
you.
I feel the information was important. On page 39, the text differentiates between employee oriented and production oriented leaders and I feel I am an even mix between the two, I emphasize task aspects of a job while accepting the differences among team mates and emphasizes interpersonal relations. I think we as people need interaction in order to build rapport inside and outside of a company, I think the two aspects run hand in hand and really aren’t that different at all. On page 393, it reads “ With knowledge of an individual’s LPC score and an assessment of the three contingency dimensions, the Fiedler model proposes
matching them up to achieve maximum leadership effectiveness.” As stated in my previous paragraph, I think these tests are
crucial in determining the right candidate for the job.
