Research Paper Outline

For this assignment you need to create an outline for the end of course Research Paper you will be submitting in Unit VIII. Your Research Paper should involve concepts surrounding disaster operations, emergency management, crisis mitigation, or a similar topic of interest to you related to the course objectives.

Your outline should have a basic introduction, at least three main points, three real-life examples of your topic in action, and should include some preliminary research on your topic with three peer-reviewed articles. Each article should be a one paragraph summary of the source and related to each main point in your outline.

While this may seem like quite a bit of work, it will greatly assist you in the long run as most of your leg work is accomplished in the earlier stages. By the time you look to finish up your paper, all you will need to do is fill in the areas where you may need supporting information.

There is no minimum requirement for this outline, but it should be properly delineated so your professor can understand your ideas and see where your train of thought is going. This will allow your professor to better assist you if you have questions down the road.

This outline should use Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, and be double spaced. Any sources should be appropriately cited using APA style writing.
