The main point of this research review is to compare the findings of 3 different research articles with the same topic but have at least one variable so there’s something compare. This is for an AOD (Alcohol and other drugs) unit, so what I want is for the articles to be based around a particular gender and age group and something like the effect of teens using ice during school years or something like that. I want at least 2 of the variables to be either exactly the same across the 3 papers or very similar. The comparable variable I’m going for is that each research article has taken place in a different country or a different form of treatment has been used for each. One thing that needs to be addressed is at least one of the articles needs to have taken place in Australia. Once articles have been located, I want to see them before too much writing has begun to make sure they match up with what I have in mind. The three research articles also need to be sourced from 3 different databases (ie. psych info, ebsco host, scopus, etc).
The way I want the essay laid out is using headings and subheadings, I want to have an intro, a paragraph on the overview of each research article and then a comparison paragraph (which should be the longest) which compares the comparable variable/s and discusses the significance (if any) of those articles. Then a conclusion.

It has been made clear to me that the educator doesn’t not want details of any tables from the research included, all that’s important is where the research is significant or not and some theory or evidence to back-up or refute claims or ideas of improvement, weaknesses and strengths in the research. So at not point of this essay do any tables or anything need to be analysed, just simply work off whether the research is significant or not.
