Practice Digest on Innovation Management
Words – 1,650
Theme: Innovation and Trend Forecasting in (Bus) Transit Industry
Objectives: To identify practices and factors that influence them for approaches employed by organizations to manage their innovation processes and strategy; to demonstrate scholar-practitioner competency in Management Information Literacy, Management Practice Literacy, Critical Thinking, Conceptual Fluency, Argumentation and Writing Fluency.
Guidance: Practice digest assignments are extractions from the academic and practice literature of relevant innovation management practices. These digests combine both narrative and graphic formats to explain the subject matter. The scope of this digest is 2200 words in addition to the references in a format described below.
Deliverable: Practice Digests are organized in three parts:
In the first part for assigned practice areas, interpret the relevance and meaning of 5-6 key management practices (Trend Forecasting). Each interpretation of a practice or case study will comprise a paragraph of 150-200 words capturing the essence of how each management practice relates to and (potentially) implements an organization’s action or strategy. Each paragraph should be supported with citations in APA format as needed.
In the second part, compose a concept graphic or model that illustrates relationships between innovation management practices or strategies that address the assigned topic (Trend Forecasting in (Bus) Transit Industry. This concept graphic is intended to develop your ability to portray conceptual relationships. Compose this graphic on a single page. Avoid extensive coloration and make labeling clear and readable.
In the third part, prepare a concept narrative explaining how key practice approaches extracted from the literature are expressed and related in the concept graphic for the assigned topic. Concept narratives are expected to describe and explain key practice approaches as they would address relevant problems associated with the assigned topic.
Some of the ideas I was thinking to incorporate and accurately develop a link between the primary theme of innovation with trend forecasting in the (Bus) Transit Industry as the management practice.
