Position Paper on Total Quality Management
Some have said that quality initiatives such as Total Quality Management, Kaizan, Six Sigma, and others have a definite life cycle, maybe five years or so before the term of the day starts to lose its appeal. The initiatives that survive seem to be more than just a methodology for increasing quality, they are also management philosophies. If you were in charge of ‘selling’ quality initiatives to a company in need, what would be your stance toward implementing Total Quality Management. Defend or refute the implementation of Total Quality Management. Write a paper that includes a title page, body of paper that is two pages, single spaced paragraphs, double spaced between paragraphs, 12 point font, with 1.5″ left margin, 1 ” right margin, 1″ top/bottom margin, and a reference page (sources of information – Use APA 6th Edition for formatting). A paragraph means one introductory sentence, two or three supporting sentences, and one concluding sentence. Please do not submit your answer with one or two sentence paragraphs. Paragraphs might include but not be limited to the following:
1. Introductory paragraph
2. Strengths of Total Quality Management
3. Concerns of Total Quality Management
4. Provide evidence of companies that have either been successful or unsuccessful when utilizing TQM. This can also include personal experience or articles that substantiate how TQM affected their company. Create a APA reference sheet at the end of the paper for citations given within the paper. 5. Provide your position on how you might modify TQM implementation so it might be more palatable. 6. Concluding paragraph.
