Order Description

For the first part of this assignment, you are tasked with keeping a journal in which you reflect

upon your personal consumption patterns and/or consumption experiences. You can write journal

entries in either a formal academic style or in a more conversational tone. Entries should be typed

and draw parallels, contrasts and connections between the theories that you are engaging with in

lecture sessions and through your reading. Upon submission, your introspective journal should

include three separate entries (each entry 500 words). You should use web links, pictures etc. in

order to bring your journal entries to life.

Some questions that you may consider when developing your reflective journal entries:

In what ways do you use consumption to support the construction of your identity?
How are the symbolic meanings associated with your consumption choices important to you?
Is the information processing view of consumers relevant to your consumption patterns?
Is the experiential view of consumers relevant to your consumption patterns?
Do you use consumption as a means of connecting within a community of like-minded others?
Do you have consumption objects that are particularly significant in your life?

As an exercise in subjective personal introspection, this assignment is designed to guide you in

developing an understanding of your own consumption patterns and experiences. The purpose of this

journal is to facilitate you in responding to the material that we are engaging with each week. In

writing your journal you are strongly advised to focus on depth of introspection. This can be

achieved by focusing each diary entry on a single consumption act/experience as opposed to offering

a descriptive summary of items bought on a weekly trip to the supermarket.

2. Apple watch 2 ( which is very helpful in keeping me fit)
3. Muhle r89 shaving kit (double edge razor, shaving bowl and silvertip badger hair brush ( which

makes me feel very nice because they are made with precision and feel very luxurious )
