Objective
To review the literature on the definitions and the evolution of performance measurement and management systems.
Learning Outcomes
To have the ability to assess and critique performance measurement systems.
Required:
a) Select and read at least 5 peer-reviewed journal articles (post 2012) on the definitions and the evolution of performance management system(make sure to select articles related to Performance Management as a whole system – not only employee performance).
b) The articles can be focusing on different industry – manufacturing, service, education, public sector, etc
c) Read to identify the main issues or concerns raise by respective author in each article.
d) Compare and Contrast those issues raise to identify similarities and differences in terms of issues raised between the articles. For this assignment, the analysis focuses would be identifying similarities and differences in terms of how people are defining and describing performance measurement system; how performance measurement and management has evolved over time rather than methodological issues such as survey, interviews, and quantitative or qualitative research. Your analysis should also focus on corporate performance measurement and management rather than individual performance management process.
