PART 1
CREATING A CARE PLAN
You have been asked to help a friend understand and cope with their recent diagnosis of type II diabetes. You will need to research and come up with a care plan that is at least 500 words in length for your friend. Your care plan should include:

an explanation of type II diabetes (What goes wrong?)
a description of how to control type II diabetes (without insulin)
a description of a diabetic diet, with 3 days of sample meal plans
a description of the importance of exercise in controlling diabetes and a sample work-out routine
You will write up the care plan for your friend in a way that is easy to understand.

PART 2
CREATING A TRAINING AID

The hospital human resource department has asked you to come speak at the new employee orientation. They want you to do the TB education part of the training. The training coordinator has specifically asked you because they know you tested positive for TB. He has specifically asked you to cover:

how you were diagnosed with TB (What was the process?);
what you may face as an individual with TB. (What can you expect in the short- and the long-term? What are the challenges? What are your symptoms?);
what your treatment options and fears about drug resistant TB are; and
some risk factors and things they can do to avoid infection with TB
You have to create a training aid or a presentation. It is important that you let the new hires know that this problem may have an affect any of them.

The format for your training aid could be:

a PowerPoint presentation;
a handout that helps them follow along with what you are teaching;
a video that covers the information; or
an interactive Web page that they could visit;
