You are working a night shift, when you are call to a report of an assault outside a popular hotel. When you arrive you are directed to a young man sitting on the ground. Your partner; Elyse, is
attending the case. The patient has a minor scalp laceration and some facial contusions. He is abusive and uncooperative. Elyse decides that the patient is only intoxicated with a few minor
injuries, and indicates that he could be left at the scene with the police. You are concerned that there may be an underlying head injury and believe that he should go to hospital. Elyse is quite
adamant that the patient should not be carried.
