Critically analyse the environmental health risks associated with
disasters and mass gatherings and report on the environmental health
principles, management strategies and interdisciplinary approach to
managing environmental health risks using a particular case study to
guide the discussion.
The report should include :
• the relevance of disasters/mass gatherings to environmental
health,
• environmental health issues associated with the topic,
• relevant legal frameworks (e.g. relevant domestic laws and
international agreements / arrangements for international
disasters; licensing and local laws for an Australian mass
gathering),
• the role of environmental health and other professionals, and
• a relevant case study.
