Students will select an important dance choreographer from the late 20th or 21st century’s whose work attempts to step outside the traditional parameters of dance making. Some examples are choreographers who work with mutigenerational dance companies, those who integrate disabled dancers into their companies, those that have constructed models for including community members in the development or performance, or those that have dedicated themselves to topics of social justice.
