Order Description
Find an old comprehensive/master plan for the community you chose for the group project or another one of your choosing. The “old” plan must have been adopted between
1930 and 1980, and a new plan adopted since 2000 must now be in place. In a minimum 1250 word report, address the following: (1) describe how the overall
goals/policies of the plan have changed over time, and why you think this has occurred; (2) describe in detail any parts of the old and new plan that you would
characterize as addressing growth management or other sustainability concerns; (3) assess the old and new future land use maps—to what extent did the community develop
according to the “old” one, and which spatial patterns of land use are part of the new one that the old one did not anticipate? Please include a URL link to both the
old and new plans and future land use maps.
