Students are expected to select a topic discussed in the course related to ethics (Informed Consent) and conduct a literature review of the issue as it relates to the human services field. The student will be required to include at least 5 peer reviewed journal articles in addition to other reference materials (e.g. books, handbooks, etc.) that discuss the ethical issue as it relates to the field of human services. Based on their research, the student will then summarize “best practices” in regards to handling this issue as a human service professional. The paper will be a minimum of 10 pages and must be written in the format outlined in the APA 6th Edition Publication Manual.
