Case Study
Order Description
Purpose:
Students will identify and apply cross cultural counselling competencies through the analysis of major presenting problems that a character from one of the two film options may bring to counselling. The case study will include issues such as racism, discrimination, prejudice and class/colour privilege, as well as effective therapeutic approaches and potential challenges.
Process:
Use film Milk (2008) (Actor: Sean Penn) and write a case study centred on a key character. Identify any elements of racism, discrimination, prejudice and class/colour privilege.
