Task:
A 2100-word academic discussion paper which is written and presented using appropriate academic conventions, including language, use of quotations, paraphrasing and
referencing, etc.

However you choose to present your research, you must in some way provide the following in order to get a passing grade for this assessment:
? An introduction that identifies your area of interest, offers a brief overview of the topic and establishes why it is of interest.
? A literature review that shows evidence of in-depth academic research on the topic. You must identify the key texts / theorists related to the area you have chosen
to explore and establish why these texts are important / useful / relevant / significant for research in the area you have chosen.
? A conclusion which establishes why you feel your topic is worthy of further academic research. In particular, you should consider what gaps may exist in the academic
research that has been done around your topic so far, and how your research can help fill these gaps.
? A reference list that includes at least six (6) academic / scholarly sources. You are expected to use appropriate search strategies and locations to find your
research (primarily the university library catalogs and databases) and to verify that that your sources are academic, peer-reviewed or otherwise appropriate sources
for an academic research project. Non-academic references will not be counted towards the reference requirements. Failure to provide a sufficient amount of academic
references will lead to the loss of marks and potentially a fail grade for the assessment.
