There are 2 essay topics in this section. This is a major essay. You are required to choose ONLY 1 TOPIC. The essay should be 4,500 words in length excluding the references.

2. Developing strategic partnerships are currently at the forefront of place-based education efforts. Review the literature on forming partnerships in education. Provide a synthesis and critique of the theory base. In doing so, consider some recommendations for successful partnership building and sustainability.

• Overview and discussion of the concepts of leadership and teams with clear links to the chosen theme or topic of interest;

• Exploration of the theme or topic that utilises literature within and beyond that provided; examples provided;

• Synthesis and critique of the theory base;

• Recommendations are feasible and demonstrate insight and analysis;

• In text citations are correct, a References list is provided and both are in the required academic style (APA 6).
